Ministry of MSME, Government of India approved a Project cost of Rs 15 crore to set up Power loom Cluster at salem under MSE-CDP Scheme. In this regard Joint Inspection was carried by S.Sathesh Kumar Dy.Director I/C, Br.MSME Coimbatore along with BM, SIDCO Shri Satyamoorthy and with Dy.Director , DIC, Salem
on 28/12/2018 , 3.30pm. .The SPV members were also present in the cluster unit.The Cluster is expected to function from March 2019.

MSME-DI (Br.) organised in Association with AMMA Association, Coimbatore 100 Days MSME Out reach program at Gokulam Park Hotel on 28/12/2018 . The purpose of the program is mainly to build trust to develop the Agri Equipment manufacturers as a cluster approach . It also helps their activity in terms of making commom Facilty centre, Technology transfer and upgradation, Raw material requirements, export growth and building quality standards. MSME-DI , Coimbatore along with DIC, Coimbatore, LDM Coimbatore organised follow up program on MSME mass out reach program. KOPMA , pump and spare manufacturer association also participated. psb loan disbursal, new cluster identification also discused in the meeting. Common facility centre for pump manufacture also one agenda in the discussion. Four cluster idenfied as PUMP, Transformer, Control panel and Agri Implements cluster.

South India State Native poultry (p) Ltd cluster , DPR validation was conducted at Pongallur, on 11/12/2018. Shri Saravana Bhava BM, SIDCO , S.Sathesh Kumar, Deputy Director I/C , Coimbatore , Manager, SIDBI participated for validating the project. Shri Siva Sankar consultant presented the DPR report. SPV members were participated the event. The said cluster submitted the total project cost for setting up of common Facility Centre for about 12 Crores.
